
Fresh from setting a new RP IM 70.3 Record last month in the 70.3 Worlds, Noy Jopson took the spotlight again as he dominated the last leg of the 3-15-3 triathlon series in Plantation Bay Resort and Spa. Jopson timed 45:49 and was followed by closest pursuer Ralph Arche with 48:37. Swim leg leader Franz Baguio took third with 49:40. In the distaff side, Lorhiz Echavez went for a clean sweep of the triathlon races she joined this year by coming in first at 59:12. Teammate Janice Bautista was 2nd in 1:02:03. Newcomer Cleolett Ty barged in the top 3 after timing 1:05:23.
Vince Mahinay grabbed the 19 yrs & below title clocking 1:04:20 after getting stiff competition from eventual 2nd placer Mark Almosera at 1:08:08. In the Seniors 20 class, Frederick Pahanonot took the top spot at 52:32 while Kristian Cabahug settled for 2nd place with 53:24. Daryll Dacayana placed 3rd with 56:51. Lyndon Dongallo emerge 1st in the Seniors 30 division with a time of 51:32. Daxkino Sarabosing and Mark Ugbinar took 2nd and 3rd spot with 53:24 and 56:51, respectively. Victor Villamor defied his own age after ruling the Master's Class with 59:12. Job Cereño was 2nd at 1:05:23 while John Go occupied 3rd at 1:05:54. Adventure racer Rico Valentin outclassed everyone on heavy bikes as he won the Mountain Bike division with 50:51. Jezrel Ramonida finished 2nd at 1:00:13 and Meljohn Tezon was 3rd with 1:00:31. Team Leonas 1 composed of Andrew Ong and cyclist Lloyd Debalucos ruled the Tandem Category with 52:38. Briang Huang and Joel Juarez bannered Team Stamford Laboratory to place 2nd at 55:06. Team Leonas 2 was represented by the duo of Jane Ong and Mendel Lopez to take 3rd with 56:23.
